About us

A small outfit, and a trade that goes back a long way.

We design and build technology from the Republic of San Marino. It is led by Gian Angelo Geminiani, who has worked in this trade since 1997.

How we are put together

Not three departments. A network, and one shared base.

Around the chief executive works a network of collaborators and technology partners across several countries: software architects, electronics designers, system engineers, chosen for the project in hand. It is how a small firm keeps electronics, robotics and artificial intelligence together without pretending to have three departments.

What makes that possible is that we do not start from scratch each time. Data acquisition, running the models and machine control sit under every project, solved once, in DigiSense®: our framework, a registered trademark. The work goes on your problem, not on the scaffolding.

Based in

Via Marino Moretti 23, 47899 Serravalle, Republic of San Marino. C.O.E./VAT SM29141.

Trademark

DigiSense® is a registered trademark of G&G Technologies S.r.l.

Accreditation

The chief executive has been on the Italian ministry register of innovation managers since 2020.

Development

Software designed and developed entirely in Europe.

What you can check from outside

Not client names. The things you can check for yourself.

A peer-reviewed study

Nine hundred emergency workers followed for twelve months, in a study published in “Sensors” with the Italian National Research Council and four universities. It has a permanent identifier.

A product you can download

Podz.AI is ours, it installs and it runs for a thirty-day trial. The quickest way to judge our work without speaking to us.

The reasoning, written down

The Insights articles list their sources at the foot of each page, and two rest on an external identifier anybody can look up.

Where the expertise comes from

From factory systems to university research. In chronological order.

01

1997 – 2002 · Silcea Group, then SkyLab

Head of information systems, tasked with putting the new ERP into production. Then the founding of SkyLab, which assembled workstations for architecture practices, with the graphics cards chosen to run CAD.

02

2002 – 2020 · Eighteen years at Gruppo Fontanot

Project manager and software architect, then CIO, then head of development and digital innovation manager for the group. Production processes, logistics, sales network, configurators. Among the things designed, machine learning applied to quality control.

03

2007 – 2008 · Research at the University of Bologna

At Food Science, a traceability platform for fresh-cut fruit and vegetables — washed and packed, ready to eat: RFID labels read on the products and an algorithm that walks back up the supply chain, showing each party only what concerns them.

04

2015 – 2024 · Botika

Co-founded and led: it brings algorithms into industrial processes. In 2019 Confindustria Romagna picked it as the first San Marino technology partner in its SmartTech team.

05

2020 – 2024 · Chief technology officer at AccYouRate Group

Almost five years as CTO of a company that designs, patents and manufactures wearable devices for vital-signs monitoring. It is one of the affiliations on the “Sensors” study.

06

from 2022 · G&G Technologies

The company was founded in 2022 and brings that expertise onto DigiSense® and onto Podz.AI.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many of you are there?

The core is small and the network around it is wide: collaborators and partners chosen for the project, across several countries. We would rather say so upfront. If you want a hundred-person supplier, we are not it. If you want the person who does the designing to be the one who answers you, rather than a salesperson, we are.

Do you only work in San Marino?

No. The office is in Serravalle and clients are in Italy too; the collaborators are spread across several countries. What stays European is where the software is designed and where the data is processed, which is the part that matters for jurisdiction.

Who answers if I write?

A person from the team, not a form, within one working day. The first conversation is about whether we are the right people for your problem: if we are not, saying so quickly is faster for everyone.

Why are there no client logos?

Because our work sits under confidentiality agreements and we do not work around them: a firm that shows you other people's names will one day show yours. It would also be an odd choice for somebody proposing to keep your data in-house. What can be checked from outside is on this page, and we will gladly talk about projects by describing the problems, not the names.

Want to find out whether we are the right people?

Tell us the problem, not the solution you have in mind. A person from the team answers within one working day.
